Abstract
The desire to procreate activates in the couple the possibility of existential knowledge and emotional insights that prepare to the engagement in the educational task. The care professionals committed to accompany the couple to parenthood are therefore required to help prospective or new parents find those skills that are likely to remain unseen and therefore unavailable. \r\nIt’s important to invest in early family education in order to rethink the skills and training of staff working in favour of families with young children. In this regard, childcare services should act as a social and cultural workshop in which some of the main issues which now crowd around parenting can be processed: how to become parents, the educational tasks, ways to grow children in various cultures.
