Abstract
The aim of this paper is to report the results of a corpus-based study on razve and neuželi, during which the Italian-Russian parallel corpus of the Russian National Corpus was used to examine the contexts of occurrence of the above-mentioned interrogative particles. The analysis allowed us not only to learn more about the semantics of razve and neuželi, but also to reflect on the nature of their Italian translations, concluding that some of the trends observed can be linked to the phenomenon of translation universals.
