Abstract
The monograph presents the winemaking tradition in a particularly suitable area, such as the Brescia area of Franciacorta, paying attention to the great medieval and Renaissance historical-documentary tradition; the crops and grape varieties are connected to the different types of wines, where attention is paid to sparkling wine products, their economic value and to the "Libellus de vino mordaci", the treatise by the Lombard doctor of medicine Girolamo Conforti which presents the "mordace" wine.
