Abstract
The chapter, starting from the recognition that the family and intergenerational relationships are the cornerstone of welfare, argues the need to constantly keep under observation the impact that policy choices have on the welfare not of individuals, but of the family relationships in which they are embedded, and proposes the use of a model for conducting an analysis of the family impact of policies and practices, originated in the United States and implemented since 2018 in Italy as well, where a version consistent with the characteristics of our welfare has been developed.
