Abstract
The author, after providing a historical introduction to the right to privacy and to the protection of personal data (specifying the differences), critically analyses the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), raising doubts as to whether it could lead to a concrete uniformity in data protection law in Europe. The author introduces the theme of big data, predictive police, robojudge. He lists the problem faced by Italian public bodies in the implementation of the GDPR and illustrates the potential contrasts between administrative and civil courts judgments
