Abstract
This report is a literature review of the different evaluations in general and specific
history studies on education policies implemented by left-of-the-centre governments
in Italy between 1962 and 1968. Secular historians from radical and liberal
schools would stigmatize their limits and shortcomings, while scholars from
democratic Catholicism and socialist backgrounds would juxtapose also their education,
social and democracy-enhancing achievements.
