Abstract
The essay focuses first on the place the volume takes in the comprehensive project of Eric Voegelin's "Order and History" and second on the 'Image of Plato and Aristotle' proposed by Voegelin, testing its reliability against some past interpreters of ancient philosophy and some main issues of the current Platonic research.
