The paper explores the topic of empirical research in educational field putting in evidence its opportunities and its limits. After having underlined the importance to reach a balance between scientific criteria and the needs of educational practices, according to the specific nature of pedagogical science, the paper deals with a question not well developed in the debate: the communication of research.
