Abstract
The book presents the results of a doctoral research and deals with the origin of experimental pedagogy in Western Europe . In particular, it focuses on the analysis of Raymond Buyse because of his main role in promoting, with his studies and his activities at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium), the experimental culture in educational field.
