Abstract
The author describes the new issues emerging in the field of filiation, particularly as a result of the application of biotechnology. In particular, he focuses his attention on the ambiguity of European jurisprudence, which on the one hand shows openness towards the voluntary paradigm, on which the application of insemination by donors and surrogacy are based, and on the other gives considerable importance to the biological link in the acknowledgment of the parenthood.
