Abstract
This article explores the relations between the poetess Camilla Solar d'Asti Fenaroli (1723-1769) from Brescia and the poet Giovanni Alvise Mocenigo, analysing some passages of the 34 Mocenigo's Sonnets as a response to Solar d'Asti's poems, kept in an elegant manuscript at the Foundation "Ugo Da Como" in Lonato del Garda. Comparing texts from both the authors with coeval documents, new hints are offered to the study of Solar d'Asti's poetry and biography and the cultured life of the aristocracy in Brescia during the XVIIIth century.
