Abstract
The History of Education as a scientific discipline and academic or\r\neducational field, is suffering from some decades ago, changes of various\r\nkinds. The philosophical assumptions have mutated. Methodologies utilized\r\nhave been expanded and refined. Topics and perspectives have multiplied. The\r\nstyles and ways of doing the History of Education have changed their trend,\r\nas the scientific communication tools are doing for the discipline. Also,\r\nthe number and quality of publications related to the History of Education\r\nhave significantly increased. Paradoxically, at the same time, discipline is\r\nlosing weight in training educators of all kinds and from any geographic\r\nregion.
