The History of Education as a scientific discipline and academic or educational field, is suffering from some decades ago, changes of various kinds. The philosophical assumptions have mutated. Methodologies utilized have been expanded and refined. Topics and perspectives have multiplied. The styles and ways of doing the History of Education have changed their trend, as the scientific communication tools are doing for the discipline. Also, the number and quality of publications related to the History of Education have significantly increased. Paradoxically, at the same time, discipline is losing weight in training educators of all kinds and from any geographic region.
