Abstract
Within the complex scenario that characterizes the worldwide Higher Education sector, the contribution points on research training in educational PhD. Reflection focuses on the education sector by moving from a broader reflection on the general PhD and, in particular, on the subject areas included in the field ERC Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH). Research training is the main core of doctorate, currently located at the crossroads between transferable skills training and specific training aimed at the realization of a project. Educational empirical research training is problematized moving from analysis of Italian universities specific training activities on research topic for graduate students.
