Abstract
The reflection on Augusto Monti’s pedagogical activity begins on his narratives and it can take place on two levels. On the one hand, we have the plan of reconstruction of a segment of both personal and Italian history in which stands the socio-political commitment and interest in innovation in teaching methods. On the other hand, we have the level of storytelling as a process of personal and professional learning in which play a key role three elements: a) educational models, b) training of teachers, c) assessment of the culture as a working tool
