he essay, based on documentation from the historical archives of the Diocese of Milan, examines how the Church of Milan paid attention to the problem of housing in a historical period in which the city underwent a tumultuous transformation with the reconstruction after the war.\r\nThe Church in Milan, determined to be part of the dynamics of the city and its population, was attentive to the new urban developments in Milan, seeking to be present in various ways among the population, especially in the new suburbs.
