Abstract

Consequences of adsorption process by volatile molecules in Langmuir Blodgett (LB) films of organic materials can be studied by using the Kelvin probe technique scanning the surface of a stepped film. LB technique offers a reliable methodology to produce film s in which the number of monolayers can be defined with a certain accuracy. Preliminary measurements concerning the contact potential profile of a stepped LB film of corrole exposed to air is illustrated in this extended abstract, while the relative paper, in its final form, will consider work function studies due to a variety of adsorbed chemical species.
