This manual, which covers the period from prehistory to the Arab invasion, was designed as a tool for the university education of primary school teachers in the context of ancient history, which is part of the discipline they are called to teach. We tried to offer an agile and clear text, but able to provide notions and not limited to the mere exposition of "big problems". The system is uniform, in the belief that a precise knowledge of the events of the so-called "great political" and military history is also a prerequisite for understanding social, economic and cultural changes and for a critical view of history.
