Abstract

This special issue provides state of the art reviews on the status of OTA contamination in different continents combined with detailed research results from the EU: Risk assessment and integrated ochratoxin A management in grape and wine (WINE OCHRA-RISK, Project no. QLK1-CT-2001-01761. Website http://www.ochra-wine.com). We believe that this special issue will significantly contribute to the scientific knowledge in this field and the development of effective prevention strategies to minimise consumer exposure to OTA in grapes, grape-derived products and wine.
