N2 - Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome (MRS) is a rare, noncaseating granulomatous disease consisting of persistent or recurrent orofacial edema, relapsing peripheral facial paralysis and fissured tongue. Oligosymptomatic and monosymptomatic forms are more common than the complete triad. MRS is more frequent in young adults between the second and the third decades of life, while data about childhood are actually poor. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
