Abstract
The aim of the paper is to compare 13 territorial systems using and empirial analysis, i.e. using statistical tools based upon similarities and dipsarities between socio-economic characteristics of these regions. Cluster analysis has been used in order to understand the determinants of economic performance in these regions.
