Abstract
Unlike typical training exercises for the muscle mass or strength, plyometrics have the purpose to increase the speed and power. A plyometric exercise consists of three phases: the first is a rapid movement of stretching called eccentric phase, and the second consists of a short period of rest called depreciation, and the third in an explosive movement of muscle shortening called concentric.
