Abstract

Several studies have shown a two- to five-fold increased risk of melanoma in organ transplant recipients (OTRs) due to chronic immunosuppression [1]. The reported standardized incidence ratio of melanoma in OTRs ranges from slightly above 1 [2] to 8.0 [3].
