Abstract
Recent discoveries of archaic and classical bronze vessels in different south italian areas have put again the question of the distinction between greek imported examples and local productions during the 6th and 5th century b.C. Studing in particular the materials from the rich necropolis at Rutigliano (Ba), it has been possible to distinguish between examples made by different south italian productions (peuceta, no better definible as “magnogreca”, etruscan) and significant importations from Greece, with new considerations in particular on corinthian and laconian productions.
