Abstract
The year 2024 is an important Kantian jubilee: it marks 300 years since the birth of the philosopher from Königsberg and 220 years since his death. For more than forty years, teaching was his main occupation, and this contribution focuses on this
aspect of his everyday life, considering the many accounts provided by his listeners and the transcription of a preparatory course on Philosophic Encyclopaedia, which Kant taught for several years to young undergraduates. Thanks to the notes taken by the students, although incomplete and disconnected, we can catch some glimpses of his expository style, quite different from that of his printed works, of his way of speaking and relating to his students.
