Abstract
The study examines the role played by the Grand Council of Fascism within the Fascist State. A body through which the Party had seen its power growing, notably after the promulgation of law\r\nno. 2693 in December 1928. According to many jurists, this law was the most relevant in the Italian monarchical system. Provided with important assignments, the Grand Council was (among other\r\nthings) the architect of the fall of Mussolini’s regime.
