Abstract
The essay builds the action of a casual person - Interreligious Council of Sierra Leone -, founded by representatives of the Catholic and Protestant Christian Churches, the Islamic religion and indigenous religious traditions, during the civil war of the 90s. The Council represented a neutral venue, which made possible the encounter between government troops and guerrillas, and facilitated the solution of the conflict, in 2002, with extensive guarantees for the moral and civil reconstruction of the country.
