Abstract
At the beginning of Seventies, a wide number of women is employed in Italian cultural industry: journalists, television and radio programmers and directors, etc. This phenomenon appears nevertheless ambivalent: if the number of women employed in the media industries grows and their position changes and improves, the feminisation process determines a "valorisation" (under a symbolic and economic point of view - see Bourdieu) of communication professions. The essay aims at analysing this ambivalence through the collection and analysis of the (few) bibliographic sources, and collecting of data on the professional biographies of thies new generation of women "workers".
