abstract = "Fragments of the decorations of the so called Terme Erculee (Herculean Baths), built by emperor Maximianus, were found during the excavations carried out by the 19th century in the area of Corso Europa in Milan. Although these are few remains, they allow to observe similarities with the ornamentations of other Roman Imperial baths and with some monuments of the tetrarchic era. In particular, fragments of mosaics (one depicting the personification of the Seasons) and a colossal marble torso of resting Hercules were found.",
