Abstract
After a lockdown that was decided almost everywhere by Public
Authorities, the work is restarting, with hope but also with concern.
In general there are many fears about people’s employment and
employability, both for reasons related to the global economic crisis
caused by the pandemic, and for the real ability of companies and workers
to adapt to the required changes. Work organizations will face two aspects
in particular:
1. the possibility of further developing forms of smartworking, which will
force them to rethink both to the skills of their managers, and to the
work-life balance of their employees;
2. the need to provide stronger psychological support to their human
resources, to help them cope and make sustainable change.
Public and private institutions regulating the labour market will also have
to change, to develop and support a new idea of human work, which can
underpin all the necessary initiatives.
