Il Fondo sovrano CIC verso una strategia economico politica

The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the China Investment Corporation (CIC): its structure, strategies and investment activities. CIC has raised international interest and concerns, as analysts acknowledge that investments are not only profit-oriented but also, and increasingly, politically-driven. The main findings are that the fund is evolving as to governance, transparency and risk-management and is expanding global ties. Its shift in investment strategy in terms of geographical and sector distribution as well as timeframe appears to have attained encouraging results.
