Abstract
The volume collects papers presented at the annual Conference of Unione dei privatisti (UP) on the topic “Private law in the digital economy. Judicial protections and independent authorities” (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, 17-18 November 2023). \r\nDigital revolution is challenging the private law system, especially in the field of private relationships between professionals and consumers or users, but also in the regulation of activities and services offered by the market. \r\nIt is therefore important to establish whether private law rules preserve their effectiveness in those fields where the digital dimension is pervasive, with particular attention to the combination of private and public enforcement.\r\nIn this light, the articles published in the volume express two complementary perspectives: the perspective of the independent Authorities, which are responsible for providing immediate answers to the questions posed by the digital revolution, and the perspective of the scholars, engaged in finding fair and efficient solutions through traditional categories.
