Il dialogo sociale in Europa. Esperienze e proposte

European Union has identified social dialogue as the major instrument to promote the economic growth, the social cohesion and the environment sustainability of development’s projects. Particularly in backward regions, such as South of Italy, the involvement of social partners, but also of institutions and civil society’s organizations, represents not only a chance, but also a necessity to realize these aims. Nevertheless, the importance of this topic in the European political agenda, has not gone along with a coherent engagement in the training of local actors; an engagement that is indispensable to valorise the potentialities of social dialogue at territorial level. The volume presents the results of a research approaching this challenge. Through the study of experiences of social dialogue in the “old” and in the “new” Europe, it offers a series of proposals useful for the educational planning and the good use of the structural founds.
