Abstract
Among the different Qur'anic themes, the link between the concepts of "revelation" and "creation" is one of the most recurrent. Both concepts appear to be part of the divine mystery, relating - and in some cases in opposing – the otherworldly reality with the earthly one, the upper world with the lower one. Among the different Quranic passages
which connect these two concepts together, revelation appears to be related to a creative act that begins from the bottom to rise upwards, then embracing the whole of beings in the opposite sense.
