Abstract
Taking care of others in conditions of fragility and illness cannot ignore how the care process reverberates within a relational complexity. It calls into question a pedagogical reflection oriented towards the human, towards the constitutive interweaving of physicality and emotion. The narrative can be considered as a "methodology" that reveals the implications between the bodily and emotional dimensions characterizing the person-patient. Corporeality is the bearer of representations and possibilities of meaning, it calls into question the need for an education that pays attention to the profound dimension of human existence as a relationship. In the pedagogical examination it therefore has a fundamental value, so much so that it can be stated that the body can be considered as a pedagogical "object". Educating healthcare professionals on the importance of corporeity, even in suffering, represents an opportunity to build self-awareness in professional training. The essay proposes the interpretation of an emblematic training experience carried out at the Gemelli polyclinic, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart.
