Abstract
The contribute highlights the importance of Unioncamere data on labour market trends, especially with reference to immigrants quota, that represents a structural component of Italian labour market. Data are explained from the point of view of labour demand, that of Italian firms divided by Regions and by kind of activity that immigrants carried out. Concerning this last element, some others statistics demonstrate that there are some particular jobs usually provided by immigrants (in general those with low level of social prestige), as a result of a prejudice and until to speak of an "ethnicization" process for some of these jobs. The Author ends by synthesizing a series of Italian labour market features in respect of immigrant workers communities, exploiting opportunities and problems deriving from present legal system and suggesting some way to follow in order to transform immigration as an added resource for Italian social and economic development.
