I mutamenti delle condizioni di salute nella Federazione Russa dopo il crollo dell'Unione Sovietica

Abstract

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Russian Federation has experienced great changes, especially in the economic and social development. What has been less observed are the changes related to health: the most important element is the dramatic fall in life expectancy, widespread throughout the population but concentrated particularly in the male. At the end of the first decade of the new Russia, a Russian man lives up to 50 years, often killed by alcohol abuse. The contribution tries to analyze the consequences of this theoretical process that has created significant demographic problems of the Russian Federation and which had as its conclusion the election of Vladimir Putin as President. In particular, seem to be thrown into crisis not only the promise of the free market but especially the theories of modernization.
