Abstract

Numerous studies point out the way children are involved in their parents’ separation and how they can show various difficulties. Despite that, nowadays clinical interventions supporting the children are still not so systematic and commonly used so that they can be recognized as a praxis. Moreover, only few of all the implemented interventions have been empirically evaluated through rigorous methodologies. The aim of this contribution is to provide a review of the interventions for children having separated parents that have been empirically evaluated according the method of the Systematic Narrative Review. We will expressly focus on structured and semi-structured group interventions addressed to children and adolescents and conducted by a specifically trained adult. In particular, we will synthetically present a descriptive analysis of the interventions as well as the researches included in the review. Then, we will focus on the main results of the researches themselves through a narrative synthesis of the analyzed studies as to understand the contexts and the efficacy criteria of the studies.
