N2 - The orthopaedic oncologic surgery is burdened with an high percentage of infection due to compromised patient general conditions, surgical long time and entity of soft tissue demolition.
To reduce the incidence of this dramatic complication several strategies have been tried.
Recently antibiotic-loaded collagen sponge has been shown to be effective in treating soft tissue and bone infections. In this study we report some modalities of applications of collatamp in the surgery of bone and soft tissue tumors.
