Abstract
In a sequential conception of life cycle, adulthood coincides with the stage of caring for the next generations (children, adolescents, young people) and previous (old age). But today the border between generations is uncertain and adults are not only caregivers, but also beneficiaries of care, especially when they are in conditions of existential fragility. In the care for the others, ethic of responsibility and ethic of care are strictly connected. Moreover its necessary to take care of themselves in order to the capability to care for others. The main aspect of educational care in adulthood, in a phenomenological-existential perspective, is the skill to compose a life and to maintain an existential project overcoming the “facticity” of the situation and remainimg open to the possibility and the potentiality of being.
