Abstract

The book contains the commented critical edition of more than 800 marginalia which Giulio Perticari wrote in the margins of an exemplar of the Venetian edition (Pasquali, 1741) of Dante’s works, which is now preserved in the Oliveriana Library in Pesaro. The marginalia are particularly related to the “Convivio”, the “Vita nuova” and the “De vulgari eloquentia” and prove Perticari’s interest in the critical edition of the first two texts, but also in linguistic, literary and historical problems. They also show the preparatory works by Perticari for his two treatises included in Monti’s “Proposta”. The edition is preceeded by a large introduction which points out Perticari’s role in the editions of the “Convivio” printed in Milano and Padova (1826-1827) and in that of the “Vita nuova” printed in Milano (1827).
