Abstract
For immigrant families admittance of children in Italian school is filled with expectations, fears, motivations that express one of the most important aspects in the "transition" between the educational models of their country of origin and that of the new cultural membership.
The school is medium for integration not only for children immigrants, but also for their families. The respective educational intents of the family and school must meet to identify and pursue together joint educational purposes and shared by clarifying the concepts of difference and equality. For immigrant children, kept always in suspense between two educational models, between past and future, between memory and project, it is necessary for the intercultural education in the school to be able to create the conditions of true education, where it is possible to achieve relationships and learning, taking the responsibility of a communication harmonic between two worlds.
