Abstract
Starting from the text Cibo ed etica by Franco Riva, this contribution intends
to discuss the many questions raised by food ethics by questioning the thought
of G.W.F. Hegel and F.W.J. Schelling. In dialogue with these two authors,
the essay insists on the category of “hunger” as a characteristic trait of human
ontology insofar as it is a figure of the original extroversion and openness to
the other.
