Abstract
Ezio Franceschini was at the head of the team of scholars who edited the first Italian edition of the Franciscan Sources (Assisi, 1977). He was responsible for the structure of the two volumes, especially for inclusion of all the biographies of St Francis written before 1266, as well as biographies and writings of Clara of Assisi
