Abstract

As already demonstrated by Western literature, we do strongly believe that there is a close relationship between the number of lymph nodes dissected and survival. The Western surgeons' experience in nodal dissection for gastric cancer is no longer questioned, but the concomitant increase in survival also may be associated with a favorable tumor biology.
