Abstract
This essay intends to reflect on the legacy of Laudato si’,
focusing in particular on the strategic importance of a pedagogically
characterized food education, to develop training
courses that include updated knowledge related to the world
of food, skills to learn how to choose healthy and environmentally
friendly nutritional lifestyles and habits. It will be
necessary to take charge, through the legacy of planning of
Laudato si’, for the ecological sustainability of the agri-food
supply chains, as well as for global access to food and water
as survival resources, universal rights that cannot yet be guaranteed
to all inhabitants of the Earth: in the coming years,
efficient and respectful development cooperation networks
will have to be created, for a future of greater social justice
and authentic sustainability.
