Abstract

.Ectopic beats and frequency-domain spectral analysis recorded during the diagnostic study of obstructive sleep apnea were recorded with a single device (Somtè). The number of apnoeic and hypopnoeic events and nocturnal hypoxia severity was related to the sympathetic activity enhanced by the frequent arousals and triggered by recurrent hypoxemia.
