Abstract
Social media challenges (SMCs) are popular technocultural practices structured around the emulation of increasingly risky dares. Our interactive netnography of #fearfood challenges examines how SMCs reshape the consumption of fear and risks, evading platform moderation and bans and spilling over into offline contexts with far-reaching consequences.
