Abstract
This paper aims to show both the logical correctness and the speculative relevance of the only possible argument for a demonstration of the existence of God, proposed by the pre-critical Kant and subsequently abandoned without having been specifically refuted. In his refutation of the traditional proofs for the existence of God in the Critique of Pure Reason, Kant presents unconditional necessity as the «true abyss of human reason», but he could have turned his \r\nreflection towards a more constructive result if he had taken into account the perspective opened up by this early work.
