Diventare genitori. Fantasie e narrazioni in un'epoca tecnologica

The article looks into the transformations accompanying the transition to parenthood. Becoming mothers and fathers needs a redefinition of the personal existential project both for the single person and for the couple. The coming and the diffusion of the obstetric ultrasound as well as the tendency to blog on the internet to tell the personal experience of the pregnancy and of the expectation have significantly influenced the tra- ditional ways in which the parents’ couple live the fantasies, the worries, the hopes, the emotions that lead to the taking of the role and of the functions as parents. The article goes deeply into “the new spaces of educational relationship” opened by the usage of those instruments, so that they can be homed with intelligence to become spaces of thought and of project, generative opportunities supporting the birth of new mothers and new fathers.
